A guide to Miami’s business landscape

Miami’s business landscape connects property development, travel, restaurants, cultural institutions and technology. This collection brings together 12 people with a documented connection to Greater Miami or South Florida. Each profile links to company biographies or institutional records, and distinguishes a person’s current role from the history of the organisation.

Use the industry links to begin with the subject that interests you, then follow the individual profile for projects, career context and further reading. A development business can be based in Miami while working elsewhere; a Miami Beach hospitality venue is geographically distinct from a Downtown office project. We keep those locations visible rather than use Miami as a catch-all label.

How the selection was researched

The editorial criteria are a clear regional connection, a verifiable leadership or founder role, substantive public information and an identifiable photograph. The selection covers different operating models rather than assigning a universal best-businessperson score. It includes family development companies, an investment and technology platform, a public travel company and consumer-facing hospitality groups.

Published company accounts can contain older wording. Where roles or timelines differ, the profiles prioritise the current leadership section and dated institutional material. Future completion dates remain described as published targets. The source links let readers check the underlying record and continue their own research into a particular organisation or development.

Read the business through its operating decisions

The profiles pair the documented career with practical context. A residential tower invites questions about ownership and service; a district raises questions about access and the mix of uses; a technology platform brings infrastructure and customer needs into view. A hotel or restaurant adds the repeated work of delivering a consistent experience.

These are routes into understanding a business, not conclusions about an individual’s private finances. Read related profiles together to compare approaches, and use the official project and institutional links for current details. The collection is available in English and Spanish, with the same people, factual dates and source records in both editions.
